Reach truck or 3 wheel counterbalance: which high-lift forklift?
Reach trucks and counterbalanced three wheel trucks are specialist forklifts designed for high lift materials management on pallet racking or on the loading bay.
If the truck is only used inside and maximum manoeuvrability is required go for a reach truck. Their residual capacity at high lift is far better than a counterbalance truck, and they will work in an aisle half a metre narrower than a 3 wheel counterbalance.
If the forklift truck is required to work inside and outside and the outside floor surface is uneven, go for a 3 wheel counterbalance truck. The large diameter wheels and extra underclearance make them more versatile for inside / outside use.
